I say, am I the only one who hasn't been paid by XTO?  The 90-day deadline has passed, and I have seen neither completed lease nor money.  I'm out of antidepressants and I have a gun........GRRRRR........

Ain't that the truth!

I know when I first read the lease, I found the whole dang thing ambiguous.  Two lawyers later, I decided to sign.  At some point in time, one has to trust somebody, I guess.

You're right, Elsie, at some point you do have to put your trust in someone else. I wish you the best in this venture and I hope you can get the payday that you were hoping for.

a lot of coal issues in Belmont, and the likelihood that there are large area's where property owners do not own their minerals is high.

Tens of thousands of acres have reservations in Belmont. I know of a company that had a 4,000 acre deal ready but backed out when they saw the title mess that was ahead of them. Landowners who don't have mineral rights need to investigate, call an attorney and see if they can get those rights back. For nearly $6,000/acre it's worth a little headache, don't you think?

(((((( deep sigh of relief )))))))   Got my check for the first half today (check dated December 30).  I'm guessing the second one might come later this month.  The check was dated four weeks before the end of 90 business days since signing.
