i'm curious, too........haven't heard a word....anyone out there with news???

The 52 ac. brought 1.25 million + 10% buyers premium = $1.375. I was at the sale.

nice.  thanks.  who bought it?

A so called "investment pair" from Utah. Doesn't want the house or buildings or surface rights, only the minerals. Told someone there that they were going to bid to 2 million. Wow!

There either is or will be a pipeline through prop. & a compressor station, plus Talisman has said there will be 2 more laterals under part of it from a current, in production, 6 well pad. 22 ac. of the 52 are in production.

From a letter to the editor in the Daily Review.

EDITORS: Upon reading a recent article in a local paper, I did some investigating about the proposed "housing development" on Fallbrook Road. The first thing I found out was that the proposed site is not on Fallbrook Road at all but is, in fact, located on a 30-acre parcel of farmland formerly owned by Betty York at the corner of Farmers Valley Road and Carnwright Mountain Road.

The second thing I found out was that the "housing development" as proposed is 50 pre-fabricated units, each approximately 35 feet by 12 feet sitting on a concrete slab. Each unit is to house two men, presumably workers on the gas wells. This will not be a "housing development" as we understand the term; this will be a man camp. Not the kind of man camp run by one of the gas companies with round the clock security, recreational facilities, and company supplied travel to work sites. This will be 100 young men, unsupervised, with nothing to do in their off hours and each with a pickup truck.

yup...there was just a headline in the review that this has been put on hold until spring...according to the meeting in troy township.  many are very concerned about the appropriateness of this type of facility being constructed in a purely residential/rural area with only farms and single family homes at present, a two lane road, no activities there on site.  me, too. absentee landlords really don't care what happens to their properties usually, just so long as they milk them for all the money they can.  and this certainly has that feeling to it.  i was told by a troy resident...hear say, i know, but he was told that the land will have two more wells placed upon it, as well.

without zoning........as so many areas here are......these could be ANYWHERE as time goes by.  and i would bet a bundle WILL be anywhere.  good luck to dear bradford county.

Barbara.....The "2 wells" referred to are 2 more legs from the existing neighboring well pad that currently has 6 legs & this prop is unitized with. As for the "owners", they aren't doing anything except collecting royalities, but they are leasing the surface to a 3rd party who wants to do a nice development. I saw the plans & it calls for a lot of upscale features such as a rec center, a pond & fountain, etc. Really upscale. In my opinion the neighbors can relax.
