Water testing being done for the Hawk Well, on March Rd I think. Does anyone know when that is scheduled or the unit size? No permit yet.

Permalink Reply by Timothy L. Bailey on June 7, 2012 at 7:33pm We live on Mark rd. They are still doing the drilling for the seismic testing. No one has approached us about any water testing. Our property adjoins Hawks on the back side.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on June 9, 2012 at 3:15am The pad in question would be on the Hawk property that is just south of Marble Rd. It is apparently going to be located about 3/4 mile south of Marble Rd and about 700 ft east of March Rd. Pipeline is already in and the ingress/egress has been built up. A good source says the first hole is going to go southeast. Judging from my calculations that might not put this pad within the water testing proximity of your Mark Rd property. This location isn't permitted yet, but with the help of Google Earth it looks to be about 42deg42'53"N,81deg00'11"W.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on June 13, 2012 at 10:08am It looks like the well name & # is Hawk 11-12-5 8H, consistent with the initial bore going southeast. Still haven't seen a permit yet.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on August 15, 2012 at 11:03pm Apparently the earlier well number is wrong. A permit has been applied for on 8/15/2012: Hawk Well # 2-15-5 6H, 8H.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on August 31, 2012 at 10:11pm Permits issued 8/30/2012. #34019222200000 for well 2-15-5 8H, and #34019222210000 for well 2-15-5 6H.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on November 4, 2012 at 1:02am Is there a rig drilling at the Hawk Well Pad or is at the nearby Jeffery Well pad?
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on January 6, 2013 at 11:35pm I think so, or will be there very soon. It's very well lighted up at night but it's not easy to see the location. One of the wells is supposed to be drilled in January, allegedly the 1H, even though it was the last to be permitted.
Al,
I was coming back from Carrolton on SR-9.
I saw a RIG up & drilling in the area of on of those two well pads on Thursday Jan 3rd.
Permalink Reply by Al Anthony on January 7, 2013 at 4:22am Yes, that would be the Hawk Well pad, then. I haven't been up Rte 9 lately. It is within 2000' of Rte 9 as you approach March Road. I didn't realize the rig was up already. The Jeffery well is about 3000' NE of that pad, but given its permit date I doubt there is rig yet.
Yes, If drive north on SR-9 from Augusta and don't take the sharp right hand turn but instead continue north on March Rd (a gravel road) you will end up at the HAWK well pad entrance.
Permalink Reply by R. L. King on January 23, 2013 at 12:23pm I drove by the Hawk pad this afternoon. The rig is up and the vertical drill pipe magazine was fully stocked with pipe, The permit board had approvals for four horizontal legs tacked on it.
No activity at the Jeffery site that I could see.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
