Does anyone here know the details of the recent (early Nov 2011) ALOV lease signing? This included landowners in Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, and Mahoning counties. It was supposedly 25,000 acres and $5800/20%. Does anyone have a copy of this lease?

ALOV contact information is at http://alov.us. After seeing your post I contacted them and they are sending me the information including the lease. I don't know how many acres but the $5800/20% is correct. Signing is with CHK. They are still accepting members.

how did you contact them.  i am interested in speaking to someone for details but the phone number posted were no help.  i left a message a couple times but no luck.  i went to the website and there was alot of good information on leases.  i want to know when they will be signing and if they have a lease put together yet.  i dont want to take a chance and miss out thanks.

I called the numberon the website duringnormal business hours.

Thanks.  i got ahold of them.

A friend of mine recently signed in Columbiana County for the $5,800/20%.   not sure of any other details of the lease.

Personally,  we signed back in Sept. with Rex...$3500/20% gross.  At that time, the offer from Chesapeake was $3,750./17.5% net.  Last week a representative from Chesapeake showed up at my home...he told me that he could have given us $4,000/18%  at this time ...we didn't discuss net or gross.  We have a small 16+ acre parcel.  He told me that he was just at a 65 acre farm (his words..."down the road") and could've offered them $5,000./acre...due to more acreage.  It was a brief meeting since we were already signed.  I know this doesn't help you Finnbear...but just throwing this out there for anyone who hasn't signed yet.

Kim,

We signed with Rex in August and they have failed to get us the signing bonus within the 90 days agreed to. Apparently they filed the (now defective) lease on day 90 after I called them on day 89 to ask what was up.

I spoke with them and they basically said "just a small mistake on our part.... the checks in the mail and you should have it tomorrow". I still don't have it. I AM NOT HAPPY! We are talking well into 6 figures here. The lease says that if they didn't pay it to me by day 90 the lease is null and void. GRRR!!!!

Mike... I called Rex just two weeks ago, due to our 90 day time limit coming close.  They said they'd check into it and call me back.  They  called back the next day and told me I should expect a check within 2-4 weeks.  We still haven't received it,  yet neighbors of ours received their check last week...they signed only about 5 days prior to our signing.  My fingers are crossed that there are no problems.    I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties that you are going through...perhaps you will fair even better due to their "mistake"?  It seems the bonus offers are climbing higher...hopefully you will benefit somehow.  Best of luck to you!

SB check is in my hand. Rex was very apologetic for letting it go to the last day. They sent the check certified but the post office tried delivery once (we have not seen a notice from them) and it has been sitting at the post office.

Check is deposited and we are now going tractor shopping.

Happy Thanksgiving all.

Make sure to set at least 1/4 aside for the IRS. Happy tractor shopping - what are you looking at?

We already have a pretty good estimation on the taxes.

Looking at getting a New Holland 4wd 55 HP Boomer with a front loader. Time to retire my '52 8n.... about time <G>.

Good choice. I have a raggedy old Farmall 140 and a Case 430 loader tractor that I plan to replace with a new(er) 4wd loader tractor in the 40hp range.
