hello , and happy holiday by all means,I  read your posts from march , by now we all know the veto to the moratorium on drilling , you also must have known that DRBC PUT OUT A DRAFT  FOR WHAT WILL BECOME A REGULATION TO DRILL AROUND THE DELAWARE RIVER BASIN ,  from my extensive readings lately , gov, elect como , will urge the dec to expedite their final studies, also read the federal epa is urging dec not to delay by study after study , also read that  GOV. ANDREW COMO WILL TILT TOWARD REVERSING THE BAN  ORDERED BY HIS PREDECESSOR , AS HE WILL HAVE TO CAP TAXES AND BALANCE A BUDGET THAT IS RUNING UNCONTROLED DEBTS  40 BILLION FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS ALONE , SO GAS MONEY IS A BLESSING TO HIM , HE WILL NOT HAMPER THE HORIZONTAL DRILLING , HE NEEDS ;; BONNA FIDE ; SCIENTIFIC REPORTS ON SAFETY MEASURES  TO PROTECT THE WATER SUPPLY , IN HIS WORDS , TOO MANY COMMENTARIES ABOUT THE NEW GOV, NOT CAVING TO SCARE TACTICS OF ENVIRNMENTALISTS ,  i  SEE LEASES BY JUNE OR  july 2011, and yes delaware county have more than one gas shale under it about 4 or 5 , any comments.

Your facts are extremely accurate. It seems to want to play out that June/July 2011activity of some kind should start. There are some Hess test wells in Northern Wayne county PA (bordering Western Delaware)which are awaiting results of testing. If the word of good geology is the result of these wells, coupled with a go from NYS, now that's a recipe for big money leases in my opinion. Both should reveal themselves By June/July next year.

hello,  i was asking if como cuts the baby in half to make every one happy the green heads get the watershed in the east and the gas companies along with lucky landowners get to drill horizontally all they want in the west counties , can he legaly deprive land owners equal chance to develope their gas wells ?????????????
I suppose he could but it would kick open the door for landowners to file suit against NYC. I imagine 2 things could happen. NYC permit the drilling or buy the mineral rights and future royalties from the landowners in the watershed.
i  WILL BE  WAITING  FOR SWIFT MANEUVER BY THE NEW GOV. TO BE NICE WITH THE NAY SAYERS AND OPPOSITION TO DRILLING AND ON THE FLIP SIDE  APPEAR TOUGH WITH THE GAS COMPANIES YET HOSPITABLE ENOUGH TO ATTRACT THEM AND DO BUSINESS IN NEW YORK ALL IN THE REALM OF NEW REGULATIONS , MONEY TALKS ,BS WALKS
