Most of the Amish are already leased and have wells on their properties from wells that were drilled to the clinton formation

Alan, you do realize the royalties will still go to the amish. The sign on bonus is just the bait on the hook.

Yes I realize that the Amish will still get the royalties. Why is the sign on money considered bait? I hope the amish get some Utica wells drilled on their properties, in fact one was just drilled by Chesapeake on Newcombe Rd in Parkman

I know the people that own the property that the Parkman well is being drilled on. Their leases are from late 60's- early 70's. They did not receive any up-front money. They are currently drilling a test well to see if it will be worth drilling horizontals or not.
