After a few calls to them I got a call back on Tuesday telling me they are Releasing my lease. they don't believe they are going to be drilling this far West (Wills twp) so hope you live further east than that.

I finally got in touch with Gulfport after they did not satisfy the 120 day payment.  We live in Wheeling Twp. and they said that they have had numerous problems with the courthouse and would most likely NOT pursue drilling there.  He said that letters are being prepared to be sent explaining this, and if you have the opportunity to sign with someone else, he recommended that you do so.  He is the head of the Land Department, and his name is Bill Eisheid.  You can talk to him at 405-242-4888 to see what your status is.  They will release your lease if you don't want to wait.  We opted to sign with Southeastern Landowners Group  http://seohiolandowners.org/home.aspx .. they locate an energy company for you, and the energy company pays the commission.  We were offered $5000 same as we had with Gulfport.  100% of their clients have been paid on time.  Something to think about!

JD, may I ask what company you signed with through the Southeastern Landowners Group and what royalty % was secured.
