Rumors & Tidbits for Guernsey County

Some true,some hearsay...Aubrey is looking for a site to build his regional office with a Cambridge address.  Aep Utica is looking to drill a well behind the General store in Old Washington,early feb.   .AEP is drilling now in Harrison co. Rice will be moving their big rig from Belmont co. to daddy Shugerts well in Old Washington,soon. Bluegrass Pipeline coming thru the county this year. Compressor  station for Antero's well below Senecaville is ready to fire up any day.  Gulfport is sending rigs to Guernsey soon. EQT is wanting to drill 21 new wells in Guernsey this year. Carrizo has 2 pads built,ready to roll. Cheasapeake,all of a  sudden,likes Guernsey,better than Carroll. The company wanting to build an apartment complex at the I-77/Rt.22 site has agreed to help finance a sewer plant needed at that site& Coventry Estates. Motel to be built across from Pilot on the hill almost ready to roll. Some landowners near Quaker City are getting offers of $13,400. per acre to sell their Mineral rights.  Any other tidbits are welcome. You hear things from credible sources that may not even be true,but you be the judge.

I seen a small rig out on county home road this morning in guernsey. What is that, a test rig? It's on Shugarts land I think....

Lance....I think that may be a rig that drills  conventional wells...they sometime drill it that way and then put in a horizontal rig in.... They say it costs less that way....or so I have heard.  Is it on the Daddy Shugert pad?

No, it's down in a pasture about a mile or so from the interstate all set up.... Right above the Rice Energy gate...

looks more like a water well rig.  maybe needs water for the thousands of cattle the Shugerts have.          The Rice pad is across the road & over the hill on Polaski Rd. I heard the big rig is delayed at the Belmont County site.

Well;  it could be something to do with O&G, but I wouldn't know what. They didn't build a pad. Maybe it's for COAL??? Over in Belmont Co.  on Bobby Shugerts spread, they have drilled some of the best wells in the state, and also are stripping for Coal.  double dippin!  Maybe daddy wants to do the same. More $$$ than cattle farming!  Less work too!

I really don't know the Shugerts, just heard of them being big time farmers... And a big family... I sure hope we get some good wells around here... Especially the unit I'll be in...LOL

Rice has a permit dated 9/9/18 to plug and abandon a clinton well drilled in 1980 on Shugert's.

Does anyone have any new information on the Mclain well?  It looks as if they drilled one leg and then pulled the rig out.  Are they fracking the leg that they drilled, or are they waiting until the remaining three legs are drilled?

They drilled one lateral then left.  It's do to be fracked in March
