Something is brewing in guernsey county. over 2 dozen new companies have showed up recently. including BP. Shell is back with a new plan, renewed interest. recorders office is slammed. KWG&D are starting up a new landowners group. 2nd round of leasing may soon start. Could it be cause the few wells that are completed here in the county ,along with the noble&monroe co.wells are very promising? Pipeline companies are here too, making their plans. If you have'nt leased yet; may want to wait, price may be going up!

Good news!
We signed a contract with Gulfport just over 120 days ago at $5000/20% per acre (Guernsey County, Wheeling Twp). They are just outside of the window to pay the lease bonus, and are not returning calls. Conveniently, we were just contacted by Southeast Ohio Landowners Assoc. and they want to send us a proposal with another company for similar terms (although I'm sure there will be attorney fees involved.) SOLA informed us that we would have to request Gulfport to release our lease in order to sign with another company. Just wondering if anyone has had any successful dealings with SOLA. We are hearing good things are happening in Guernsey, just wondered if anyone had any suggestions! Thanks!
JD hang in there with Gulfport unless you seriously think you can do better legitimately elsewhere, title searches are taking forever. They paid me & everyone else in my guernsey/KWGD group several months ago. They are active, strong & enthusiastic about our area. If you have good title they will pay you.
