Rumor has it a freind of a friend received royalties in Bergholz, Ohio for $3800.00 an acre!!!!! Wow can't wait to see what we have in store for us in Hancock county. He has just a little over 70+ acreas and is going to get $3.1 million a year in royalties wow...

A bit confusing. Someone is blowing smoke if you believe the royalty on 70 ac per year. But then rumors do that.

Believe or don't believe don't matter to me....  Do you think millionaires from the oil and gas industry are blowing smoke????? MAYBE, MAYBE. Google millionaires from oil and you can see in other states just how poor little old people became rich over night.

I believe he may have been "told" that he "could" make that much but that is really being unfair to any landowner.  Their are to many factors in determining the royalty, maybe if NG was up over $10 again this would be a possibility.  Todays prices will not make that royalty in a year for a 70 ac landowner.  BTW....Dollars per ac and royalties are 2 seperate values.  IMHO, dont 2nd mortgage the house until the check is in your hands.

Carrie,  what is the daily/monthly production of the well in Jewitt of gas and of oil?  With oil or natural gas liquids, theses numbers are possible.  How many wells are involved with your friend's property?  Are the wells drilled on his/her property or is he/she pooled into the drilling unit?  How many acres total are in the drilling unit?

Hi Todd I don't know all of that I didn't talk to him personally his neighbor seen his check and said it averaged at about 3800.00 per acre. He will be getting 3.1 million a year for around 73 acres is what he will be averaging!!!! Also if any one has friends who work at any of our local banks they will tell you the checks that people are depositing are unbelievable !!!!! Not trying to cause any people to get all upset just because I was so happy to hear this news I thought I would share. I'm in real estate not a professional in the oil and gas so this is just FYI.

That's GREAT NEWS Carrie!!! Thanks for letting us know!  You all should check out "Bayou Billionaires" on CMT... they receive 6 figure checks every month for 80 acres in Lousiana for oil and gas!  LOL :))  They call it their "mailbox money".
