Hello Ray, and Merry Christmas to you! I have been following the issues of the Marcellus Shale for about two years, but I still feel that I am a novice. So at the risk of not providing you with an adequate response, I'll just say from everything that I've read, there is still not sufficient experience to accurately predict/measure the efficiency in this play YET. Once there is infrastructure and wells are fully producing for a period of time, I suspect the computations will have a much higher degree of accuracy.

Think about the cost to drill 3 M; it should last 8 yr or so and drop about 1/2. Lot will depend on how thick the vain and luck.

Larry is your 8 yr. and drop by 50% based on marcellus production? Limited though it may be, and how long can the 50% last. Similar shales have produced,or are expected to produce, for much longer time frames than sand wells, with the probably need to refrack. Appreciated your prior response and hope you respond to this query. ray

Anyone know anything about a well drilled last year in Jefferson County that had a site identification of Game School and was supposedly drilled by Open-flow and was NOT Marcellus, but word on the street and evidence of the size of the rig and the site size seemed to indicate it was Marcellus. Also, rumor has it it hit big.
