Another year is upon us and we are all starving for information pertaining to the "gas biz" in our county.

Hilcorp appears to be poised for an extremely busy year.

Shell seems to be dragging it's feet for some reason , even though the Cracker appears likely to become a reality.

Hopefully more infrastructure projects will become known as the year unfolds.

Please share any news with us you may uncover over the course of the year.

Good luck to us all and may 2014 be the year that puts us on the map!

Western Land services for Rex offering 1500acre/15% royalties. Have  they discussed upfront money?

Western Land is now leasing for Rex?

I wonder if Hilcorp may be the joint venture partner alluded to in Rex's press release.....

Can you reference the article where a JV was mentioned?

Hi Rich,

Please let me know if you are making any progress with a new lease. I am at I-376 &   Wampum Mt Air Rd. How close am I to your location.

Thanks

Brad what I can say is I told them I want 7000 per acre an 22.5% Roy. No deductions! WE CAN GET THIS! With no eminent domain to hang over the landowners head. They are screwed!! It's about time!! YEAAAA!!
What was their reaction to your demands?
How many acres do you have Rich?

How long ago since you have had contact with them? Western land or another company? I have a hard time thinking anyone getting 7k. I know someone who wanted 4k and they never heard anything back in 3 weeks.

Western land services are idiots anymore, we had great dealings with them the 1st time we signed some of our property up with them about 2 years ago, now they tell us this is what we re paying, take it or leave it because there isn't any competition. They dropped lease prices from $3500 an acre to under $2000. I hope another company omes in and makes them pay dearly.

I can tell you with almost 100% guarantee you are not going to get that or even receive a return phone call/visit. With Rex picking up all that new acreage I see no way they are paying that amount when they have other places to drill.

Nobody is going to see even $5000 at this time, no competition from anyone. Western land services offered us $3000 and 17% last year for our acreage in Mercer county and I went to discuss the offer with my family and before I could tell them yes they pulled the offer. They are liars and I wouldn't trust them, we need another company or 2 to drive prices up because no competition is bad for landowners, no bargaining power.
