Hillcorp rig moved from rt. 62 well site!

 

     Was that rig on 62 next to Flynn tire shop there long enough to drill a horizontal well??

I don't have a clue how long they let the flame burn or if each well is different. I seen a lot of equipment in there after the flare pipe was down and I wondered if they are going to flare another well or are they capping the well for the 60 to 90 day rest period.

The James well is flaring the gas off again today. I guessing this is the 2nd well they drilled?

Drillers often use a smaller rig to drill the vertical.  They may pull a lot of cores for testing and go pretty deep to see what is there. Then they can get a new permit to do a horizontal in the most promising strata they find.

I'm so confused on what's going on at the well site.  The rig went down...the flare was burning....then another smaller rig went up....flare pipe went up again...and the process repeated a few times.  Any insight on what is going on?? Are they even in the resting period yet??

For what its worth, I heard through the grapevine the other day that this well(s) is doing very good.  Also, that there was a company in over at the old Lutz farm, which sits just south of RT 318, performing core testing earlier over the summer. Testing in preparation for the possible construction of some type of compressor station if the land is bought out.  Its my understanding that this land deal is currently in negotiations.
