Their are approximately 7 to 8 land men in the court house each day looking up deeds. Has anybody got any lease offers yet

He may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, I hope so for your sake. I did some checking today with our landowner group and friends who are part of another in the next township north. Neither our lawyer or theirs had any success getting the mega giants they wound up delivering up their landowners to, with getting a clock set on their leases. I.e., drill a well by this date or your lease is void (not the 10 years like they wound getting). Still feel like I got gypped by not going with someone who didn't have a gazillion acres leased up and that will finally drill on my ground 9 years from now. Our PA guy was pretty involved in State law too, as it relates to gas wells, so we were told. Problem is the companies coming in are from Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. Not that that is bad as they are the ones who figured out how to do this stuff in the first place. What we found out though was someone who is a "big shot expert" with respect to their own state law and what not, is sort of like saying you are the Duke of turd creek. Again sorry to be bitter but watch these ambulance chasers, they'll make out like bandits and while you will get a nice check up front, the real money might pass you by (because they have no way to get their claws into that part).
It's not clear why you think not having an attorney is better than having one.  Knowledgeable representatives - doesn't have to be an attorney, necessarily - probably provide the best chance for whatever result anyone is seeking.  Unless you paid an exorbitant fee to "the Duke", I'm sure it was money well spent.
