April 14th Injection Wells Forum -Towanda High School 7PM

Wanted to let people know that Penn State is having a forum regarding injection wells on April 14th in the Towanda High School- Towanda PA. The DEP is supposed to have represetatives there. I have quite a few questions to ask and I am sure others do as well. Hope we get alot of people to attend. The gas companies are looking to use wells that they have drilled in the area as injection wells for disposing of their fracking fluid. I am not sure if they intend to treat it at all before the inject it into these wells, my guess is not.

Interesting. Chesapeake just announced a field office in Towanda on Fox Chase Road which will be coordinating community outreach. The point man there is Brian Grove, Director of Corporate Development. Bradford County is a Marcellus hot spot!

That is true Tom I visited a few drill sites last weekend to observe what was going on. At one site they were preparing for fracking and at the other they were fracking. Chesapeake had an informational seminar about a month ago in our area and it appears as if they are going to be proceeding this spring and summer in our area. They have about 11 rigs committed to coming here this year and if they are successful will be bringing more to the area.
