I received the same letter yesterday. I think they are appealing to someone who wants money right away, while they take a risk on waiting for half the payouts from lease renewals and royalties. I did not investigate the company and do not know anything about their ability to pay when a contract is negotiated with them. I wonder if they know something about the location of proposed drilling sites.

we received the same,i've heard of several more,HAVEN'T heard of anyone that will take the deal,if it is a deal!!

We also received the same letter and contract for 2750/ mineral acre. We have had offers much higher over the last year.

we also have been getting letters and the same for half and the same amount --- after laughing we always just use them to light the burnables.

that was a great story... did you ever sell used cars.

 

bottom line is half of of 2750. after taxes is not much.
