PITTSBURGH, April 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CONSOL Energy Inc. (NYSE: CNX), the leading diversified fuel producer in the Appalachian Basin, said today that it has closed on its previously announced agreement to acquire the Appalachian exploration and production business of Dominion Resources, Inc., for approximately $3.475 billion in cash.
