Our grandmothers former property had an automatic lease extension..Original lease 2006 , exactly 5 yrs. later checks were received to cover the mandatory 5 yr. extension. All the neigbors have had their extensions recorded within 6mo. of new 5 yr. term , all having the same NG Co that is doing the lease, all had the same broker..Our Grandmoters lease has not been recorded, it is over a year now. Seismic co..is paying the acreage to us as surface owners,even though they already paid Grandma, they said it was their error(not re searching the deeds prior to seismic testing, last search was two years ago, since then we have been deeded the property) so they are making good, though that hasn't been rec'd yet, we really don't care. Charges are in place..but we are still wondering why her lease hasn't been recorded since all her other grandchildrens were all surrounding her former property..
