Hi,
I'm an ecologist with Penn State University and I'm looking to develop a long-term study of the relationships of natural gas drilling with the wetland and stream resources of Bradford, Tioga, and Susquehanna counties. I was wondering if there were any landowners who might be willing to participate in such a study. Your land can have an active well or simply be permitted but not yet drilled - or not yet even permitted. I would be collecting information on plants, soils, and water and (if I can find the funding) would be leaving only a water level monitoring device on your property.
At this stage I'm simply checking for interest - I have not yet secured any funding for this study. I'd be delighted to hear back from anyone. And...this is important...I won't be on anyone's property without their explicit permission.
Thanks.
