Anyone's guess.  Chesapeake  tried to sign me on 10 year leases so I think it might be a while.  However, I saw a seismic survey crew along Rt 534 in Southington this week.  They work for Tidelands Geophysical Company
out of Plano Texas.  I talked to them them and they said they are surveying for gas shale deposits.  This company has worked for Chesapeake before so they might be looking for a good place to site a well.  Has anyone else noticed activity recently?

Permits have been pulled for a Utica well in Southington.
