have not heard of any activity in president township, however seneca has done some leasing in pine grove township. also seneca has drilled two wells in the red brush area of forest county.

Ed luther here. I travel that area and have oil and gas interest near Tidieute, Pa. Will be checking. Drilling has occured near I am sure.

Yes. In fact there are permits approved and more pending. I will look up who and what when I find time. Ed

Thanks for any insight you can give. We have 75 acres on McCalmont Road hta has been in our family for over 100 years (Fox property) that we are interested in leasing out.

I believe I drove that road some time ago. Does it connect Rt. 62 at the stream that flows into the Allegheny river? Camp grounds and old stone bridge piers. From 52 it goes miles of dirt. Lately they chipped it a short distance if this is it. Are there any old wells showing anywhere? I have done oil and gas over the years. Do you know of any large pipe lines to take the gas? I will check. Should be some oil in there. Will let you know what I can come up with. Your 75 acres is surface also? Any timber, structures? Ed ejluther@cescowildblue.com if you care to email

I emailed my brother to get the specifics. I know that we own the surface right and all mineral rights, etc. outright. We inherited the property from our Grandmother years ago.

Nothing yet, but we are still hopeful. We have the prime acreage with no buildings on the land and the PA Conservancy surrounding us. We think it would be a great spot to drill. I do know that Range has a lease with the people who bought 25 acres from my grandmother back in 1997. Please let me know if you hear anything.

I am in the early stages of putting a group together in Venango and getting a deal made.  I will keep you posted.
