Sounds like things will start to get busy this spring in Washington County.

Has anyone seen Triad on the ground leasing?   A friend is saying Consol has been making offers to some local landowners.

Haven't heard anything about Triad leasing, though I have seen their trucks on the backroads in Reno.  Do you know what area Consol is making offers?

Keep in mind, the owner of Triad Hunter, Magnum Hunter, recently bought Virgo's acreage in Washington County so my thought is Triad may not need to be leasing.

Also Magnum Hunters brine/water division, Green Hunter has purchased a tank holding facility in New Matamoras and improved a long time eyesore.  Magnum Hunters pipeline Eureka Hunter is currently boring under the Ohio River at Sardis in Monroe County and their website indicates their 20 inch pipeline headed through Monroe, into Washington.  In my opinion close to that pipeline will be where 20 wells will be drilled.  All my statements are based on what I have read on Magnum Hunters website, their quarterly conference calls, and articles in the Marietta Times.

Do you know where the pipeline is running?  Someone has been doing some work in Reno by the Muskingum River and have pipes out so I didn't know if this had to do with the pipeline or not?

Check the map on Eureka Hunter's website, think it will be a general indication.  They are still working on acquiring right of way in some parts of Monroe. Think the actual location of it depends on "making the deal with the individual landowners".

I am wondering if Wayne National Forest will allow them to cross their property.  And lol we have lots of that in Monroe and Washington counties.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Not very good at reading maps, lol...but the picture of the pipe looks like the pipes they have accross from Smith Concrete area in Reno.  I think if I remember right that lot was previously for sale but no for sale sign now.  They've been working there for awhile and I wondered if it was something to do with oil and gas.

The well in the Barlow area will begin horizontal drilling after January 1.

is this possible?  can you name your source?

I spoke to the landowner.  They moved the vertical rig out today.  The larger horizontal rig is to start shortly after Jan 1.

EA....is there a horizontal rig on the Barlow site yet?

I don't think so.  I will ask my friend for an update.

No rig as yet and he has not heard any update.
