- I represent a northeast Ohio landtrust, the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, who is currently weighing leasing options on our fee owned lands- 2500+ acres. We are also working with hundreds of additional landowners throughout the region who are looking for responsible leases/drillers who would allow them to sign a lease that would help them qualify for Conservation Easmement tax deductions to offset their lease payments once signed into a conservation friendly lease. This is obviously a very politically sensitve issue with our organization but we do recoginze the fact that we can bring thousands of acres to the table if we can find a lease that suits or conservation mission. This could be very mutuially benifital to both of our groups. I would be very interetsed discussing what options this group can bring to the table for not only for our organzations fee owned lands, but also the hundreds of landowners who are looking to us to endorse a conservation friendly lease.
