AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |

I plan on cutting the woods and lumber before they get started. They had mentioned that they wouldn't allow anyone to cut the trees up for fire wood once they started for liability reasons Being Rod and Caralee who look after the farm burn fire wood for heat it seemed to be a big waste not to cut it up ourselves.
Don't know if the delay in the well might get us into a higher price environment next year
Talked to Matt from Chesapeake about my well. Looks like it is scheduled for Jan. 2014 with site prep to start in Oct. of this year.
Have a proposal to the pipeline company for $25.00/ft.
Want a ninety day period for me to harvest the lumber.
They are to accept any liabilities on the pipeline plus any increase in taxes if they go up because of it.
Hope your talks are going well.

No, but we're planning on cutting some trails for my wifew to ride her horse and use the property as a get away. Its been a life long dream of my wife to have a farm in the area. Her parents were from Woodsfield and she has many happy memories of the area.
Rod is using the farm to raise cattle.
