We had a landowners group of about 30,000acres collectively. Many of us found out that many of those acres were held by production. Lease was very landowner friendly with 5000.00 acre signing bonus and 20% royalties. It was originally with Shell then they flipped it all to AEU which turned it over to Ascent.
My lease expires in October this year. A land man from Purple was offering 1000.00 per mineral acre for one year lease and wanted to make changes to the original that would not benefit the land owner.
Hi Mr. Koh, I don't know much about what Ascent is up to. Just that they have a land man in Guernsey County insulting us with low offers to renew some leases. I have yet to be contacted about my lease. I can tell you that if they try to offer me anything less than what was originally paid I will promptly refuse and ask for a release and negotiate with other companies. There are overseas investors that would love to have a piece of the Ohio Utica pie.....
