- Try printing a document and you'll be greeted with an error message saying "Canon printer offline." Network connections may be at blame for these issues. In the event that your printer isn't already, check to see whether it's linked to the network. It's best if you have a wired or wireless connection between your printer and router. If the connection is shaky, just detach and reattach the cable. Check whether the printer is functioning properly now. If you are using a wireless network, see to it that you have chosen the appropriate network connection.
