Anyone know anything about Carrizo in Washington Twnship offering "bonus money" to folks HBP by Artex/Anadarko?  This amount has been rumored to be $500 an acre but neighbors and I are very skeptical about what they are asking for?  Could it be surface rights for pipeline?  If anyone knows what Carrizo is up to I would appreciate a heads up. One of our neighbors says his water well has been checked by BP ??  our land is near Peoli Road. 

Also, can anyone tell me what is meant by a domestic well?  One of our neighbors is  under the impression that because our well was once owned by a farm owner that this negates the original lease with Artex even tho they continued to operate the well (until about 8-10 yrs ago when they sold it to S&S Energy).Months ago I spoke with an Artex attorney who advised that i(n general) Artex still owns the deeper rights and we are HBP because the old gas well still produces (about $900/mo. worth of natural gas).
