The air in Rochester is about to get a lot cleaner thanks to something New York’s politically governor isn’t about to laud; a Kodak moment for clean skies.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo likes to extol his green credentials passing out billions of other people’s money to his chosen winners among the corporatists such as Elon Musk, but none of that is really making an environmental difference. What has made a tremendous difference is natural gas, which has completely changed the picture in New York City, reducing emissions and asthma deaths substantially.
Likewise, the conversion of coal fired power plants to natural gas has reduced not only sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter air pollution, but also CO2. Now it’s happening again (with a steam twist) and it’s a Kodak moment for clean skies.
