Bill in Congress Would Put Water Quality Certification Manners on Cuomo

A bill has now been introduced in the U.S. Senate that would put pipeline water quality certification manners on New York Gov. Andrew “Corruptocrat” Cuomo.

Finally, Congress is starting to pay attention to the great gas robbery that has taken place in the Northeast. New York Governor Andrew “Corruptocrat” Cuomo has done everything he can stop pipelines that would provide much needed natural gas to places such as Boston. He’s primarily done it by instructing his DEC hacks to play games with water quality certification. Although FERC makes the decisions, states are given a role in the approval of interstate pipelines to ensure the designs and the routes are compatible with maintaining water quality. Corruptocrat has wildly abused the process and Congress may be ready to step in and put manners on this mob boss governor.

What’s happened with water quality certification in New York is shameful. Cuomo, eager to burnish his environmental extremist credentials for a future run at getting a Democrat party nod for President, has turned it inside out. He played run-out-the-clock blackmail games with Williams over the Constitution Pipeline. He tried doing the same with the Northern Access Pipeline and Millennium’s extension. He attempted to introduce factors having nothing to do with water quality as requirements for certification. He attempted to usurp FERC’s authority. He set himself up as pipeline emperor. And, now some members of Congress are saying “Enough.”
