Has Interest in Jefferson County Deminished Since DPS Penn and Chesapeakr have most all under lease???

Today, much is being said about Wet and Dry Gas Drilling with an emphais on Utica Shale over Marcellus Shale.

Does anyone have information on whether Southern Jefferon County contains both Utica and Marcellas and/or wet vs dry gas.

Most of the published excitement now seems to be in Belmont, Harrison and Caroll Counties.

Does anyone hear anything about what DPS Penn and Chesapeake plan to do with their holdings in Southern Jefferson County, especially the Wells Towhship Area.

Little news or blog postings on this area.

Landowner Comment by Bill Mehl on April 22, 2012 at 11:02am: I have property on CR 16 Wells twp. I have not signed but neighbors have with Chesapeake. I know of a planned well nearby and I have been contacted by MarkWest for pipeline survey.

Landowner Comment by CAM on April 15, 2012 at 4:06pm: Hi; my property is in the Asuncion West Unit, Jefferson County, Ross Twp. 2 wells being drilled lateral; 1 waiting to frac; and 1 permitted but no movement. Don't know how far Wells Twp. is from that area.
