It’s Not Just the Rockefellers Who Want to Make A Wilderness

The Rockefeller family has always been intent on making a wilderness of the rural areas where we have to make a living, with a desire to use it as their own playground. Much of the gentry class agenda is driven by such special interests. Now, Kim Stanley Robinson, a famous member of science fiction’s own gentry class, articulates this utopian vision:

The idea is… leave about half the Earth’s surface mostly free of humans, so wild plants and animals can live there unimpeded as they did for so long before humans arrived. Same with the oceans, by the way; about a third of our food comes from the sea, so the seas have to be healthy too.
