We were offered $3500. for an easment on our propery in Potter Ct. from a company called Iron Well Energy. Is this legit? We asked for a check before we sign any papers. What does an easment allow thm to do on our property?
An update from Carroll County, Ohio. reported in our local newspaper, the Anshutz Corporation started drilling their first well in Carroll County this past January. This well is located in Rose Twp. in Carroll County. The Anshutz Corporation has several leases in Carroll County.
We are signed with this company and they wanted us to be in a 640 acre unit. We did not agree to a 640 acre unit and signed our 240 acres in a unit. Does a gas well pull gas from 640 acres or are gas companies trying to ty up 640 acres by drilling one well? Will gas companies require a 640 acre unit before drilling. I know that oil wells were on 40 acre units. Thanks, Oz
Hi, Keith. I am a recruiter, and am working on 4 jobs related to marsellus shale (sales, engineers, and landmen opportunities). Its it okay to post these openings, or is that sort of request unwelcome? I am new to this industry, so I joined this group in hopes of learning as much as I can. Thanks for your help!-McKenzie
Thanks for putting this site together. I am checking in once or twice a week and have found new useful material each time. Current interests now include the financial planning associated with the "if they do find gas" scenario.

As the industry activity has dried for consultants I continue to make geologic maps of domestic activity and post them to my member site. While there is a certain amount of shameless self-promotion most of the comments I get back is that I'm providing usefull maps to track industry activity....
but I'm mindful that circumstances can can generate a perception of my efforts as a intrusion..
All - Just heard a hot rumor that Halliburton is getting ready to close on the purchase of the former Adelphia Headquarters Bldg in Coudersport for $6M. Great news for the community and gas prospects in the area if true.
hi keith, been a while 'is there a beaver county group, or in particular the north sewickley township group of folks already in range resources well supposedly 4 wells 2 northern 2 southern the well was up but somebody said they moved it ,i havent checked was wondering if anybody has updates
Would like to see a Steuben county New York page. We are a large county
with all three shale layers of interest. Some of the positive information about
how the drilling companies have provided jobs and income to Pennsylvania families
would be helpful to send to Albany. Can we forward from this site information to Albany, New York?
Thanks Keith for the comment. We are just bidding our time here in Cambria county. Activity is starting to pick here as to drilling. Have not heard from any land men in sometime but they are drilling nearby.
i am a landowner on sullivan county border in orang e county in cuddebackville. any prospects for me. i am also an environmental, chemical engineer with 35 years experience. retired
I'm trying to learn as much as I can about what's happening... I also have land that I am considering leasing but haven't heard a peep from the gas industry about it. Checked the courthouse and it seems I do own the rights.

Keith, would also like to know how to add our group to the landowner directory. Thanks.
