Keith: Thanks for your work here. You may recognize that many issues here in New York are going to take a while to get resolved. Prediction? You want my prediction??? I say June 2010. Or...maybe June 2020. Ugh!
I'm interested in traveling to the Barnett and working with EH&S professionals until NY opens up. I'll be digging around your site looking for those kinds of opportunities.
Things are fine. We are probably going to sign up with Rex through Western Land. I am trying to figure out what addendums we should add to the contract.
Keith: Thanks for encouraging me. I am in charge of the company looking for an investment opportunity on the production in Marcellus shale. Do you have any idea on it?
Keith: Thanks for the welcome I received from you. I have been putting a neighborhood group together over the last 20 months and hope to be able to negotiate a group lease when our original leases expire this year. Thanks, Art
Hope you are enjoying the holiday. If there are public notices that are no longer current, such as the meeting at Mount Morris and the public notices of meetings related to Pennsylvania TDS rule changes, please feel free to tidy up and delete them. I'd do it if I could. Also, please remove the Jones post. Peace, Dee

Chesapeake is looking to run a pipeline thru the far northeast corner of colley into Bradford. I have been contacted by them and I am not interested. I have not sold a lease either. Should I?
Thanks for the welcome note Keith. My interests are varied - from landowner rights issues to employment to O&G industry trickle down economics (housing, entertainment, etc.). Any specific conversations on issues related to these areas (most notably, anticipated housing shortage for workers).
Haven't been here in awhile. There were serious problems with getting into this site. After a few seconds the site would just lock up my machine and clock. This was happening multiple days at both my home (DSL) and work (high speed). I had no problems with other sites. Hope all is fixed. Thanks, Dave
Thanks, I have more questions than anything at this point. Are all gas wells moving to the "fracing" method for extraction these days? Do pre-existing wells need to amend their permits to add fracing? Or already using? I hope to find some info. about drilling companies and methods within the NYS DEC Mineral Resources data base but haven't looked as yet. I'm expect much of this info. is public but not sure. My specific interest is Stueben Co. but I'm inclined to do some learning for professional reasons as well. We'll see?
Keith, these guys are just aggregators, self promotores looking for a percentage.
I thoght you prohibited such veiled self promotion ??

"Our mission is to market lands to secure the best possible deal at no cost to our landowners.
The initial leasing plans are for lands in Tioga County, PA, and Steuben County, NY. We plan to offer a lease no later than the first quarter of 2010.
More information will be added in the near future. Please explore our site and compare our approach and professional team. Then join us!
What We Offer
Marketing and Promotion
A Protective and Fair Lease
There is absolutely no obligation for you to sign our lease. But we are confident that our deal will be better than any deal you could strike on your own.
No Cost to You
There is no charge for our services. We take all the risk in promotion and marketing, preparing maps, negotiating a lease, and choosing a fair deal. We impose a percentage fee in your lease on top of the per-acre bid paid by the company. That way, we have an incentive to get you the highest bid possible."

Thanks Keith...interesting site. I'll take a look around, and if I can contribute anything, will be happy to. I've been working the basin for 8 years (20 years in the industry,) and know we can get the stuff out of the gorund without messing up our land and water. Good to be on board. -David
I appreciate the personal welcome, thanks for the site, I am here to learn and make connections with like minds. So, everyone, include me freely in your discussions.
Im hoping you could help me. My company owns a hotel and many homes in the New York area. Do you know what company has been contracted yet. We would like to see if they will need any lodging while they are working in the area.
Hello Keith>>>I am hoping that you may beable to help me locate the names and contact number of the contractors that are doing the work for the drilling..My husband is looking for pipeline work..welding...with 20 yrs experience, his own tools, 2 rig trucks, a TWIC card, and many other credentials!! I am at a dead end as far as finding that information! He doesn't need the training...although I know he would have to take a welding test!
