I couldn’t find a public source naming a company leasing specifically in Westland Township. Ascent Resources is the most active operator in Guernsey County. In July the county commissioners approved a road use agreement for Ascent’s Circle Oaks pad in neighboring Washington Township, and Ascent has many pending and approved unitization orders across the county.

The fastest way to know who is leasing near you:

• Search recent lease recordings at the Guernsey County Recorder’s office.
• Check the ODNR unitization library for any unit applications that include Westland Township tracts. Unleased owners in a proposed unit get notice and a hearing.

  I  was going to say that you might be too far west, but looking at EOG acreage, it looks like just to the north and to the south, they have leases (not sure if they are original or from the Encino merger.  Not many wells have been drilled close by in recent years, so might just be a matter of time.
