Have not seen or heard of their decision. West va. boys were heading to texas today to try to coax them into choosing wva. they passed the bill that allows them to defer taxes for 25 years.  I still thing ohio has the best chance, since the wet gas of the utica shale we have is what the cracker plant needs.  we have the river, the highways, the railroads, the location is right. Ohio has offered them a sweet deal. Other oil companies are pulling their rigs off the dry gas of the marcellus & heading our way. Royal Shell has made a statement that their decision may not come till late feb.

just heard that the plant is going to be in OHio, somewhere between powhattan and bridgeport, heard if on radio a little while ago

nice  OH IO

what county does that fall in?

sounds like belmont, powhattan and bridgeport would both be belmont county, so anywhere in between would also be , monroe would be the closest county but to far south  sounds like

This was not Shell but I hit the location pretty close:

I will guess that Shell knows exactly where they are putting the cracker plant at. My guess is it will be in Ohio  between Bridgeport and Marietta, more than likely utilizing property that was owned by  American Electric Company. That could give them river frontage for barge transportation, a possible rail link and with the Moundsville WVA  coal burning power plant to be scraped a good possibility of a gas turbine facility to be placed there as it has a connection to the grid.

I wonder how accurate my guess will be?

Wow I need to keep my crystal ball clean! lol

Shell on the ground in ohio for cracker.
