- I inherited 1/2 interest in land in WV. This land has been in my family since 1856. I found several old mineal leases from 1905, 1972. The assessors office and I can not find a mineral tax number for my property. I do not want to lose my mineral interest. What can i do to protect my land and mineral interest.
