- My two sisters and I inherited about 29% of a 300 acre lease from our dad. The lease is with the Snyder Brothers in Kittanning, Pa. They drilled a vertical, standard well in 2009, then re-drilled in 2012-2013, making it a vertical, Marcellus well. We are disappointed with the lease agreement, but hopeful that the company will drill a horizontal well on the leased property (Coven Unit. The initial monthly payment was around $900.00 total, split three ways. We wonder if this is a typical amount for a vertical, Marcellus well to pay out.
