I have 13 acres I am interested in leasing in the North Hill, Pa.Is there any information they are leasing land in Gibsonia Pa. (Hampton Township)?Any input would be appreciated.Thank you,Joseph Continue

The companies have worked their way down to the Mars area, Penn and Clinton Townships. With Penn and Clinton being on the boarder of Butler and Allegheny Counties, it may not be to long before they start leasing more in our areas. Having the experience of having a lease on my property in Butler,if I can give you one piece of advice. Learn ALL you can about the leasing process you can before they do come knocking on your door. This site has been a tremendous help in the learning process. I will be out and about in the next two -three weeks, an opportunity to talk to hundreds of people. I'll let you know what I'm hearing in our areas.

I have been so busy with it that I haven't had time to deal with my property here in Allegheny County. I know Range Resources did the well at the Pitts Mills Mall. We could see the glow from my house when they flared it. I think the best thing we can do here is to get out and talk to our neighbors to see who would want to sign a lease and get them educated on what to look for when it comes to the leases and to be sure to get a good attorney,see if they want to form a landowners group,etc. So when the gas companies start moving this way we'll be ready when the land men start knocking on our doors.

You might want to call the Township Office to see what they have to say. I keep in touch with the Township where my other property is, it really does help. I go to as many public hearings and meetings there as I can.

I don't think we have an Allegheny County Group on this site yet. If we could get enough people interested, I think Keith would set one up for us.

Please let me know what you are hearing out there and I'll do the same.
