Greeting, I too am an out of state land owner north of Nicholson. Any talk of starting down Rt. 92? I would love to hear as much local information as possible. Thanks.
I haven't seen any wellpads being constructed in my travels, but EMAPPA shows a permit applied for a POLOVITCH UNIT 1H northwest of Nicholson by the county line, a LOUIS SPADINE L4884 east of town (just south of 92), and further north (maybe 4 miles) a PHELPS UNIT 1H, 2H, which already has a pad in place.
By the way, the Spadine site is listed as plugged, not a new well.
Phelps Unit is Chief Oil & Gas and the first well is being drilled now. Polovitch is also Chief with multiple wells planned and wellpad in process of being built
My understanding is that Cabot, who has been working in that area for sometime, has been getting very good returns on its wells there. Some in the industry are calling that genreal area a sweet spot.
Are we talking about the same Dimock PA? Last time i went south on rte 29 this summer there was a rig clearly visible to the east.
Sorry if I confused the issue. In the Dimock area proper there is much activity. Cabot's activity only extends as far south as Springville and "Union Church Corners" to the southeast.

The August 28th post was in reference to the question about Nicholson.
