Met with a few people today with Des.  I'm not going in details on here, but i stongly encourage anyone that is unsigned to go to his meetings this week.  The first is at Union Local Tuesday night.  Personally, I don't care who brings the contract to the table or how much this person will make off of any agreement, as long as the lease is there for all of us to maximize our opportunity to capatilize on this gold mine.

That's the question everyone has - will the lease be there?

Hopefully a copy.  I am not involved with anything about what Des does other than being a landowner wanting to get the best possible deal for me and everyone else in the Ohio Valley.  For all those non landowners or out of town investors, don't bother responding to anything I have to say.

What are the terms of the lease (not the signing bonus/royalty%)?

I am sure if you attend the meeting, you can ask anything you want.  Finnbear, are you a landowner looking to sign a lease???

You will find out why the last offer was turned down....we would have never accepted what that company wanted.  I am not "promoting his meeting", I am encouraging all the people of the Belmont to at least find out what they could get since I think what Des may or may not propose could be the best that they could receive.  I am going to do what is best for me....so if I sign next week or next year....I honestly hope anyone that signs after that even gets a better deal.

155 unleased acres in Belmont County. Is that credibility enough?

Then I think it would be in your best interest to attend.  What do you have to lose???  Obviously, you are very interested in these land deals, so without going back and reading all of your various posts, who do you think has the best lease out there for us landowners.

I am not disclosing any info from my meeting out of respect for all the people that this involves.  In the past, someone actually copied and paste Des' entire email on this site.  Not that they were trying to hurt anyone, but during negotiations, it is not good for the other side to know such info.  I am also not telling anyone to sign, just encouraging them to go to a free meeting, review the terms, decide if they want to show up for the lease signing, then at that moment they can sign or decline. It's a no lose situation to come to they meeting.

Sounds like you should call a landman instead of this guy. LOL You got it all figured out. You don't even trust each other.

What I have to lose is the following: I live over 2 hours drive away and am not willing to burn 6-8 hours of my life and spend $50-$60 in gas to attend only to find out there still is not a firm lease document to analyze or a confirmed lease offer to consider. If the meeting was right around the corner, I'd be there. Since it's not, I need a very, very good reason to consider attending.

You burn more than 6-8 hours a day on here.....and if you have 155 acres 50 to 60 bucks is nothing.  Actually, I didn't know you were that far away, so whether or not you capatilize is not a big deal to me.  I am looking out for Belmont Countians and those near it.

You're trying a little too hard.
