We have property in Trumbull County and have been told by ALOV two more weeks but they have said that 3 times.  I am concerned about the length of time it is taking versus what they said it would take.  Has anyone else heard that they are promoting somewhere around $4000 or $4500 an acre and around 18% in royalties.  I have also heard people in the area  say that those per acre prices will start coming down as the companies expand into Trumbull County.  We have had interest at $1500 to $2000 per acre and 15% royalties and the ALOV proposal has more but I am not sure if it will really come true.

Tom , I will get you the info with a number soon , i'm in the middle of a project .

Tom Frey, can you add me to your friend list .

Hello Ridgeman.  Where did you hear that CHK was flipping leases?  That's interesting.  They sure spend a lot on TV advertising.  If what you say is true, then CHK is a front--for which company, Exon?  Thanks.

Tanya

Chk is not flipping leases.   In their transaction with Total from last year, the lease acreage CHK holds was given consideration at 15K/ net acre.

Hey Dr. J.  That was a good article.  Thanks.

dr j and Tanya , that's what I was referring to . Thanks for the link .

Thanks for the article link. I had several news items on this before, but the details in Reuters art. detail that CHK is NOT flipping or selling off totally their interests, but is "partnering" with TOTAL, SA. CHK will continue to benefit and provide drilling services.

Many people perceive CHK's TOTAL move was one of distress....actually a pretty astute alliance which gains them $$$ capital and still allows them to earn in future as wells are drilled in future.

"These oil and gas guys didn't just show up here after having fallen off the back of any turnip truck...."

(Is that how that phrase goes?)

Stay tuned for my next contribution. Possible title:
"Thumper Citing in Columbiana County.... "

btw, Any new ALOV website citing?

When you are putting together a puzzle and you have 70% of the puzzle finished, in business you can kick back and play with the owner of the smaller pieces until your mommy says finish the puzzle already, then you give the remainders what they will sell for.  In the meantime bargain, the drills are not here yet "en masse."

Confirms the same info I came across. Some blog members may not want to hear.

Again, Don't Shoot the Messenger(s)!

LOL Doulittle

Newest legal info from Columbiana County area:

33 landowners sue over oil, gas leases signed before fracking boom

In regards to my previous blog post: where does this legal squabble leave CHK?

Thanks Finnbear for catching that. ....Shouldn't have been trying to build reply so late at night; and I hadn't even been partying...

That suit isn't going to go anywhere. I can't believe they even found a lawyer who would take it. I can hear the judge laughing right now. I had offers for a hundred bucks an acre but I didn't sign. Shame on the landowners for not doing their homework. How many times a day in America do corporations take advantage of customers? No its not right, but its also not worthy of a lawsuit. Contract signed, sorry bout your luck.
