We have property in Trumbull County and have been told by ALOV two more weeks but they have said that 3 times.  I am concerned about the length of time it is taking versus what they said it would take.  Has anyone else heard that they are promoting somewhere around $4000 or $4500 an acre and around 18% in royalties.  I have also heard people in the area  say that those per acre prices will start coming down as the companies expand into Trumbull County.  We have had interest at $1500 to $2000 per acre and 15% royalties and the ALOV proposal has more but I am not sure if it will really come true.

Their group was divided up into 5 different sub groups.  The sub group that I heard about had 24,000 acres in it.  They signed in August for 5,000/acre and were paid within 120 days.  Some of the other groups got 5,300/acre and Carrizo signed one for 5,800/acre.  He had not heard anything about any ALOV offer.

And Guernsey county has what to do with Trumbull?

Are you really so narrow minded that you don't want to know what other groups are getting for their land?  Knowing that Guernsey county is in the Wet Gas area gives me a good idea of what my land (also has a good chance of being in the wet gas area) is worth.  Knowing what everyone has received around us tells me that if we settle for anything less than 5,000/acre we are getting screwed.

Narrow minded,,,, no, However as my grand pappy used to say "something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" Find me someone paying $5000 an acre in northern Trumbull area then I’m on board. Its like comparing an acre of real estate in the middle of Alaska and 1 Acre in downtown New York city. Both have dirt, both are the same size, both valued very differently. I’m all for getting top dollar for my acreage. Unfortunately I can't pick it up and move it south into Guernsey county.

You do realize that there in not an steel wall that goes down 15000 feet at every county line in Ohio that would mean every county would have different results.  This is all one play!!!!!!!  The results you get in one area may not be consistant throughout, but it is more possible that they are and from everything I have seen Trubull is in a very desireable location.  It is not like the parcels of land are 5000 miles apart.

I realize and agree. They recently drilled a test well in Parkman very close to my land. It so happens to coincide with this ALOV news which I anticipated as they know what’s under us. At this point its more or less a matter of playing the gas company game... there are so many aspects to consider is the only point I was trying to make. On a side note no, there is no geographical line separating counties. Having said that I am rather disappointed the "Rumor" of 3600 an acre in light of what they signed for in Mahoning. I hope it to be untrue ;)

Kevin, Thats all it is, 3600 Rumor. I heard 6000/20% again probably Rumor,l.o.l.!!!!!!!

I am by no means protective of alov, but it just seems like the mood was shifting twords "jump ship" was trying to defuse a little. Im enjoying the ride. Its like I own a stock I never paid for.
