Anyone here from the Pulaski area unsigned as of this time? Curious if offers have increased or stopped altogether.

I agonized over this same issue before signing with hilcorp. I never got a good answer but im sure companies look carefully at the demographics of the area before offers are made. I wish i could have held out a little longer but I think my wife would have killed me.

Is there a reason you went with hilcorp over another company??   We were approached by both hilcorp and shell.

I chose hilcorp because they are drilling very near me. I wanted to go with shell because they had some better addendums and a better bonus. In the end I was able to deal with hilcorp through western land for a better bonus, same royalty, and same addendum as shell. I have small acreage and being surrounded by leased or hbp property I was beginning to feel pressure to sign. I figured it is better to be in a unit than not.
I also received help and guidance from Ron Eiselstein and O.L.M.

Did you sign recently?

Mid may.

Congrats. I would say you caught the tail end of the leasing frenzie. My next door neighbor with 88 acres is yet unsigned. His Range Resources lease expired mid May Or June and neither Shell or Hilcorp has been willing to sign him thus far. He is a little frustrated and I can't blame him one bit. I am leased to Shell but pretty much surrounded by by Hilcorp so I am wondering about my future too. With Hilcorp's holdings here I am a little mystified as to why they aren't jumping to lease my neighbor. Maybe they are working on a deal with Shell......?

Meanwhile Shell keeps drilling more wells at the Patterson Pad 2 or 3 miles to our NW and now Chesapeke is drilling the Wall Pad 1-1/2 miles to our South so I know we are in a good area. Hilcorp has a large position around me but no drilling activity here yet by them.

I have not received ANY offers at all. Some people I know signed for 2700, 3000, and 3200 per acre. I never heard of Hillcorp or Chesapeake. The Lawrence County Shell office just happens to be in my area across from the Giant Eagle on Butler Rd.

Gail, you can try Western Land Services that works for Hilcorp.  They have an office on Wilmington Rd just past the PennDoT center. They may or may not be interested but they just sign city owned property in Shenango Twp...the golf course and more. Sorry, don't have a number.

Jim, any news at the whiting well?

Only the rumors I hear. They are bringing in 15 large tanks....people are assuming they hit oil. I'll have to drive by there to see what is going on.
