Antero 5700 at 20% signing soon

What do you all think about this deal with Antero.  There is a signing next week involving several townships.  somerset, warren, wayne, union, flushing, kirkwood, and goshen.  Does the utica landowners group get money per acre from the 5700?  Im wondering if they are using this big signing to only cherry pick the ones they really want.  I would like to find a company that is gaurenteed to pay instead of forcing us to wait several months and then have to be released because of nonpayment.

Antero did not pay on all  leases in Monroe County , they held me for 7 months and then did not pay. They are not a  good company.

Not everybody thinks they are so great.  I've heard them referred to as Little Chesapeake.  As with any other company, read the fine print before you sign.

the way I look at it not much else going on in belmont county, $5,700 & 20% is a fair offer and if the lease is good I'd sign and worry about cherry picking if it happens its a lot less time than you commit to some of these attorney groups tie you up for 12 months and then another 6 more months you cant deal with anyone they negotiated with, I personally know a landowner in Monroe county that wanhted sign the switzerland TWP/Consol lease but is tied up with SEOLA and if signs owes them 4 1/2%,  last I heard he hasn't signed and after the group signing is completed will be surrounded by Consol & will have to negotiate on his own after his 12 months are up and the offer may be much less & with a much different lease for sure.

     It's almost been 120 days since this signing. Has anyone received a check from Antero yet?

No checks yet?  Called and they stated  they were mapping areas that they are only interested and would send out letters within 2 weeks if they want or don't want your property.  This was over 2 weeks ago!!

     My wife knows someone in Union twp. that was paid by Antero yesterday.
