what is the difference between Marcellus and utica shale gas?

can both be found in same area?

is one better then the other?

Both the Marcellus and Utica shales lie underneath Belmont County. The Utica is deeper than the Marcellus. Which is better depends on location. In Belmont Co. the Marcellus is fairly thin. If you do an Internet search you will find maps illustrating what I mean, and these are better than 10,000 of my words.
