Has anyone got a handle on what is going on with Great River?

They are without a doubt the most disorganized operation on the planet.

Many leases were signed in Belmont County but most are way beyond the bonus time frame outlined in the lease or the order of payment.

A guy at Poloma told me they are not taking anymore Great River leases now that AEU bought out Paloma.

Yes. I was told the same thing. But, the Affidavit of Non-Compliance that they provided might still work to get a release from Great River. Does anyone know who, other than Gulfport might be leasing in the area?

The guy at Paloma was very accommodating. I wish that I had signed with them in the first place.

I had offers from both Gulfport and Paloma.  I only have @ 9 acres.   I am in Mead Township, outside of Shadyside.  I was at the UL meeting with "Great River" or whoever they were calling themselves that day.   Anyway, I posted and posted on here about it, trying to save people from the exact aggravation to which you are a part of now.    Did anyone even listen?

I had both leases checked by a great O & G attorney.    I ended up with Paloma based on the lease.   I was happy, we were paid at 85 days.   So what that my lease was flipped to AEP Utica?   I could care less - at least they can drill and drill quickly.

I can try to dig out the number for the Gulfport lady if you like; her name was Chery Curley I think.....she was very nice and I almost felt guilty for not signing with her, since we talked so much but GP would not budge on the lease language.  My attorney didn't approve!    He has more knowledge than me, and is all into the business, unlike some of these lawyers trying to put a group together just to make a buck for themselves.

Renee, I have land in Mead Township in Jacobsburg and wish I would have seen your warnings about Great River before I signed 187 days ago. Who is your great O & G attorney. I'm way out here in Arizona and can't seem to get any help.

You can do better than 7200 pr acre.  The 20% is now the norm.

How much better and with who?

Does you lease specify they have to pay you in a certain time in terms of "working" days or actual calendar days?  That could be a big difference in days.

It says "150 day period".

calendar days based on interpretation as they state if the 150 days falls on Sunday that it extends one day

Paloma sold all their Belmont County leases to AEP, Great River whatever.
