no update to the permits or work at the site..........but recently a pipeline company has contacted me and some neighbors about putting in a gathering line for CHK to connect the Spinden and Burdette(not yet permitted) wells to the Scio pipeline on the east side of the lake.......so I think if they can secure a gathering line through the area, then they will look to drill on the south side of the lake............right now they have a couple rigs drilling on the north side of the lake......another wildcard for the area is the leasing of Tappan lake, which the MWCD says they will be working on now that Piedmont lease is finalized......they also are lining up an area in western cadiz twp to supposedly drill soon.......again, nothing permitted but i have seen the maps......... and gathering line ROW's are secured and pipeline work is supposed to start this summer.
Permalink Reply by ray schmidt on August 19, 2014 at 2:50am any word on spinden well? chesapeake had me sign an adendem to allow unit size increase to 1280 acres last spring...they said they were gonna drill last summer, had permits in place, road use agreement, seemed ready to go then....nothing
Permalink Reply by Booger on August 19, 2014 at 5:28am no - the gathering line folks disappeared months ago.............but now AEP is looking at the area......apparently talked to someone about putting a pad off adams road just a little ways north of spinden location...........also they just applied for 6 just up morivian trail a little ways............so it wouldn't surprise me if chk wont drill the spinden and AEP moves in.

Permalink Reply by pinehill on October 3, 2014 at 2:59am AEU is putting a well between Barber and Weaver Run, must be some plan for a gather line in that direction.
Permalink Reply by Booger on October 3, 2014 at 6:22am I assume they would be taking their stuff south......that one off Barber is their furthest north yet I think.
