Chesapeake to start drilling their first well (Pics)

chesapeake has submitted there application with the dep for the kirk hadley 8H  so they will probably start drilling ther first horizotal before to long,  anyone might see a drilling rig or activity they might post it should be located off wick rd on  the sancho creek rd area

The red dot is the site of the Hadley 8H well near Little Sancho Creek. The arrow indicates the direction of the horizontal.

does anyone know if  chesapeake has started drilling  the hadley farm.  i drove by a couple of weeks ago there is a lot of pipeline work being done. looks like the twin hickories area is there pipe storage yard. also i take it the 8H must mean there will be 8 wells on one pad

As of a week ago, there had been no activity in or around the Hadley well site. I have been told that the pipeline will go from Twin Hickories to Pursley. Chesapeake has not applied for any additional wells at the Hadley site. Triad Hunter has received four permits Spencer 1112, 1113, 1114 and 1115. They will be located across Middle Island Cr. behind Witcheys.

appreciate the input.  Triad Hunter has also been trying to build a unit in the Dry run area,  the pipeline runs through Dry down through Hickman Run. i think there having trouble getting it all leased. also on a note ..i read a well in PA producing 30 Million cfm a day now thats is a lot of gas ,they must be getting there  fracing perfected http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9O3LT901.htm....hear anything else i will pass it along

would anyone happen to know how many acres are in the unit and how many horizontals they will drill they should post the plat on the DEP site before long

thanx beth for the pictures, also exco north coast will be drilling a well on another hadley farm on indian creek  looks as if things are picking up in tyler. i noticed new  permits for Triad hunter over in the pleasant county schultz area  anyone heard how the Exterran Dominion seperator plant in schultz is coming along. supposed to be done by fall  will be great for the area

Did Dominion abandon their plans for a natural gas processing plant at Schultz, Pleasants Co. when they announced they would build a 300 million cu ft/day processing plant at PPG, Marshall Co?

i think it is still on.  3 months ago they were doing site preperation getting it on grade.  that used to belong to pennzoil they made propane there. they removed all equipment from the site.  thats probably the abandoned / removed part you saw. i will try to get back over that way, let you know.
