National Academy of Engineering, Shale Gas: Promises and Challenges

Shale gas offers a significant opportunity for the United States to increase energy production and achieve greater energy independence. The Shale Gas: Promises and Challenges Topical Meeting will explore the major opportunities and challenges presented by shale gas for this region. The meeting, sponsored by the National Academy of Engineering and hosted by Case Western Reserve University, will be highlighted by keynote talks and panel discussions with national leaders in the energy field exploring the following topics:
