As exploration and drilling activity in the Utica and Marcellus Shale formations continues to grow, landowners and farmers are facing increasingly difficult financial decisions. With the year drawing to a close, these decisions require special attention as the "fiscal cliff", increases in taxes, and automatic government spending cuts may impact you beginning as early as January of 2013. Join us as we outline some of the potential changes and discuss other items to consider as you build your plan for bonus payments received or expected from mineral leases.
Instructor Benjamin E. Tegel is a Financial Advisor with a background in security analysis and data management. Ben started his financial advisory practice in 2005 and primarily works with business owners, executives and beneficiaries of the Utica Shale Development. Prior to joining UBS, Ben worked for Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of independent financial research and analysis.
Instructor Matthew J. Burnham is a Financial Advisor with an extensive background in Liability Management, Real Estate Finance, and a specialty in Oil & Gas related financial issues. Matt's clientele include landowners,farmers, business owners and executives.
